A Stupid Message to the Graduates of 2009

I am inclined to write something only to the graduates of 2009 (don't read if you're not) out of my assumption that, by my word, I'll be able to impart something of good and to say the least, imprint it in the course of their lives. Now, the 24-year-old guy is comfortably talking again as if...bla...bla...bla. Ha ha! Take this, I am dead serious this time.

Graduation day is a sham, a mistake, a shameless fake. I totally understand the reasons to be happy, but the deepest recesses of the heart and mind should pay respects to uncertainties. Embrace them instead, because they will never be lenient towards the environment nor you. It's the same as trying to confuse them uncertainties to convince them once and for all to align in your favor.

Success in the academe doesn't guarantee you 100% of equal success, if not more than that in the real world. Nor can we speak that the bugoy and bulay-ug ones will not make it in the real game. The cream rises to the top. So does the scum. It's an even game. Some may have the advantage to start their butts off, yet, how they manage their instincts for survival still dictate the outcome.

Another point. Some think they're almost there to the frigging golden prize. But not quite. They fail to notice how big the world is, how complicated life really is. We climb up, but the mountain gets steeper as we get closer. Just endure. Restlessness will soon pay off.

Start worrying. Stop lazing around.

Congratulations!

P.S. Pun is intended for most of this stupid message.

  5. I had the same idea/concern, because I worry too much, and subsequently took a break from academia to live in the real world for a while. Now I'm back to finish my last year of school.
